Secondary school teachers are considering a series of one day strikes before the summer holidays.
A motion calling for industrial action will be debated by delegates at the annual convention of their union the ASTI today. Teachers are unhappy at pay levels for new entrants to the profession. But ASTI President elect, Ger Curtin, says no matter what they do they won't disrupt Leaving or Junior Cert students.
