Slight increase in trolley numbers at wexford general hospital
There are 19 patients on trolleys at Wexford General Hospital today according to the INMO that's up 1 on yesterday's numbers. However this is in contrast with figures from the hospital's management which put the number yesterday at 30. Nationally the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says 584 patients are waiting on wards and trolleys - yesterday the overall figure was 601. The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Wexford's Brendan Howlin says the HSE is working to find nursing home beds for patients who can't be sent home.
