South east winners at world ploughing championships
Carlow and Wexford have once again come out on top at the World Ploughing championships. In Bordeaux in France over the weekend Eamonn Treacy from Garryhill in Carlow won gold while John Whelan from Ballycullane in Wexford got bronze. It was Eamonn Treacy's ninth time representing Ireland while it was John Whelan's sixth time. Last year at the event John Whelan won gold while Eamonn Treacy won bronze.
