Tánaiste and Minister for Finance, Simon Harris, has revealed that 1,828 first-time buyers in Wexford have benefited from the Help to Buy scheme since 2020.
The scheme, which provides up to €30,000 to assist with deposits, is part of a national total of over 64,000 individuals and couples supported across Ireland.
In addition, Harris welcomed the latest housing completion figures, showing 7,856 new homes were completed nationwide in Q1 2026—a 32.9% increase from Q1 2025.
Wexford saw 291 new homes completed in the first quarter alone.
Speaking on the figures, Harris emphasized the government’s focus on housing as its top priority.
He also thanked local Fine Gael representatives for their continued efforts to support families in Wexford.
