The Taoiseach has defended the government's plans to give some form of income tax cut in next month's budget.
On the first sitting of the Dail since the Summer, Leo Varadkar was accused of ignoring the lowest earning workers because focus groups have told Fine Gael to target the coping class. However, the Taoiseach hit back saying of the 2 million people at work in Ireland, 1.4 milion are paying all the income tax.
