Tipp teenager awarded 6.5 million euro after suffering brain damage at birth
A 15 year old Co Tipperary boy who suffered brain damage at birth is to receive 6.5 million euro in a final legal settlement with the HSE. Ryan Brennan from Cahir has cerebral palsy and will need lifelong care. His mother sued the HSE for alleged negligence and in 2013 received an initial payment of 1.7 million euro. There has been no admission of liability.
