Emergency services are attending the scene of a road traffic collision on the N11 at the Irish National Heritage Park junction in County Wexford.
The two-vehicle collision occurred shortly before 4pm on Monday afternoon and has resulted in significant traffic delays in both directions.
Queues have built up between the Ferrycarrig Hotel and the Newtown Park Hotel and beyond as emergency services respond to the incident.
The junction has been the scene of a number of road traffic collisions in recent months, prompting renewed calls from local motorists and public representatives for safety improvements and changes to the road layout. Concerns have repeatedly been raised about traffic movements at the busy junction, with campaigners arguing that further measures are needed to improve safety.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area where possible and to expect delays while emergency services remain at the scene.
South East Radio has contacted An Garda Síochána for further information on the incident, including whether anyone has been injured, and will update this story as more information becomes available.
