Twomey outlines those to get medical cards back
Discretionary medical cards are to be returned to people who had one before July 2011. That's according to Fine Gael deputy for Wexford Liam Twomey. Over 15,000 people had lost their medical cards during a review of the service over the past three years. Liam Twomey says people who have long term ongoing illness will get their discretionatory cards back. He says anyone who lost their discretionary medical card during the review between the 1st of July 2011 and the 31st of May 2014 will have it restored.
