Uisce Éireann Crews Repairing Burst Water Main in Bridgetown

Uisce Éireann crews are currently working to repair a major burst water main in Bridgetown, Co. Wexford, which has caused an unplanned water outage for local customers. The disruption is affecting water supply in Bridgetown, Kilmore, and Tomhaggard.

Padraig Lyng of Uisce Éireann reassured customers that every effort is being made to restore full water supply as quickly as possible, with repairs expected to be completed by 2pm today. However, it may take longer for water to be restored in higher ground areas or at the end of the network.

Traffic management will be in place for the safety of both the repair crews and the public, and vulnerable customers registered with Uisce Éireann will continue to receive updates if the outage lasts longer than four hours.

Customers can stay informed by visiting the Uisce Éireann website or following their updates on social media. For immediate concerns, the customer care helpline is available 24/7 at 1800 278 278. Uisce Éireann also offers real-time updates via a free text service, where customers can sign up using their Eircode and mobile number.
