Wexford community and charity groups have received significant support through the ongoing partnership between AIB and FoodCloud, which has helped redistribute surplus food across the county.
Since 2018, more than 361,000 kilograms of food has been redistributed locally, equivalent to over 800,000 meals, supporting a wide range of services and initiatives.
The AIB FoodCloud Community Meals Programme is helping groups turn rescued food into freshly prepared, nutritious meals, with many organisations reporting increased engagement and stronger community connections as a result.
Latest figures show over three quarters of community partners are now saving on food costs through the initiative, highlighting both its social and environmental impact.
