The next phase in the development of Wexford General Hospital is underway.
It will feature a seventy five bed ward extension which is hoped in time will give Wexford Hospital University status by bringing more teaching staff to train doctors nurses and physiotherapists. The matter has received the approval of the Ireland East Hospital Group but no funding for the project has yet been put in place.
