Wexford is rolling out the welcome mat for another busy tourism season with the launch of the 2026 ‘Find Your Summer’ campaign — a warm invitation to visitors at home and abroad to experience everything the sunny south-east has to offer.
The campaign, launched by Visit Wexford and supported by Wexford County Council, is set to run throughout the summer across Ireland and key overseas markets including the UK, Germany, France and Spain. It aims to showcase Wexford as one of Ireland’s leading holiday destinations, with something for every kind of summer traveller.
At its heart, ‘Find Your Summer’ is built around a simple idea: no two summers in Wexford are the same. For some, it’s early morning walks on golden beaches. For others, it’s sea swims, music festivals, family adventures or quiet afternoons exploring coastal villages and historic towns.
From the shores of Curracloe and Rosslare Strand to the cliffs of the Hook Peninsula and the harbour charm of Kilmore Quay, the campaign highlights the full sweep of the county’s coastline and countryside. Visitors are encouraged to explore Wexford Town, Gorey, New Ross and Enniscorthy, each offering its own mix of culture, food and local experiences.
There’s also a strong focus on outdoor adventure — with kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, island trips to the Saltees and scenic walking and cycling routes like The Norman Way. Families can enjoy attractions, gardens and open-air experiences, while food lovers are being invited to taste Wexford’s seafood, strawberries and local produce.
Heritage and culture also take centre stage, with visits to sites such as the Dunbrody Famine Ship and the Irish National Heritage Park, alongside castles, abbeys and immersive historical experiences across the county.
Tourism remains a vital part of the local economy, with Wexford welcoming almost one million domestic visitors in 2024 and generating €211 million in revenue, according to Fáilte Ireland figures.
Tourism continues to support local jobs, businesses and communities right across the county.
The ‘Find Your Summer’ campaign also highlights accommodation options ranging from boutique stays to glamping and seaside breaks, along with a packed calendar of summer festivals and live music events across towns and villages.
