Wexford leading ireland's favourite county for a day out vote
County Wexford is leading the running in the country's favourite county for a day out. The county is polling streets ahead of other counties by readers of the Irish Times in their competition to find Ireland's Best Day Out. Today Wexford has 272 votes, with it's nearest rival being Donegal on 225 votes. Most other counties have less than 100 votes, including some well known tourist counties. The eventual winning county for Ireland's Best Day Out will be announced in June. Entries are being submitted by the public on areas including visitor attractions and leisure experience. The closing date to cast your vote is tomorrow.
