A long-serving McDonald's employee from Wexford has been crowned Employee of the Year, earning one of the company's highest honours across Ireland and the UK.
Lorraine Dowdall, a Customer Experience Leader at McDonald's Wexford, received the prestigious award at a special ceremony in London, where she was recognised from a workforce of more than 100,000 employees.
Lorraine, who joined McDonald's in 2009, said she was delighted and humbled by the recognition.
The mother of two was praised not only for her outstanding customer service but also for her tireless fundraising efforts for Ronald McDonald House Charities, a cause close to her heart following her son Tiernan's serious illness and organ transplant treatment in the UK.
McDonald's franchisee John Byrne described Lorraine as "a force of nature" and "a pillar of the Wexford restaurant", highlighting her energy, enthusiasm and connection with customers.
Lorraine was the only Irish recipient among six winners honoured at this year's awards and says she is proud to be recognised for a job she genuinely loves.
