The population of County Wexford is now just short of 150 thousand Thats according to the latest census figures published today It is up 3 per cent since 2011 with 4thousand 285 more living in the county when compared to last census The population of Ireland has risen to 4.76 million That's an increase of 170-thousand people since the last census in 2011. Dublin and commuter belt towns showed the largest population increase. Just three counties - Donegal, Mayo and Sligo - showed a population decrease. The census also recorded 260-thousand vacant dwellings across the country, a decrease of almost 14 per cent on 2011.
