Wexford Prepares for 24-Hour Relay For Life Event in O’Driscoll Park This Weekend

Wexford is gearing up for a powerful 24-hour community event as Relay For Life returns to O’Driscoll Park on July 4th and 5th, 2026, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

The annual event brings together teams, families, survivors and supporters for a continuous relay walk through day and night, uniting the community in remembrance, celebration and hope.

Throughout the weekend, participants will take part in a range of activities including survivor celebrations, live music, fundraising initiatives and the symbolic Candle of Hope ceremony, which honours those affected by cancer.

Relay For Life is entirely volunteer-led, with local teams raising vital funds to support cancer services, research, and patient care nationwide.

Organisers say the event continues to grow each year, reflecting strong community spirit and ongoing commitment to supporting those impacted by cancer.

To find out more or get involved, participants are encouraged to join local teams or attend across the weekend at O’Driscoll Park.
