Wexford Producer Fiona Kinsella Celebrates Two World Premieres at Galway Film Fleadh

County Wexford is set to shine on the national film stage this month, with two films shot entirely on location in Wexford making their world premieres at the prestigious Galway Film Fleadh on Saturday, July 11th.

Both productions were funded by Screen Ireland and managed by Wexford producer Fiona Kinsella, further highlighting the county's growing reputation as a destination for Irish filmmaking.

The first film, FEED, is a feature-length horror produced by Ripple World Pictures, written and directed by Marco Van Belle, with Fiona Kinsella serving as Line Producer. Filmed in and around Monalee, Co. Wexford, the story follows Orla, a quiet young woman who joins a group of friends for a weekend away at a remote manor house. As tensions begin to rise within the group, they unknowingly awaken the ancient Irish vampire Dearg Due, unleashing a terrifying fight for survival.

The cast includes Clinton Liberty (House of the Dragon, Holding), Daisy Jelley (How to Have Sex), Rhys Mannion, Niamh Hogan, Oskar Smith, Charlotte Bradley, Molly McCann, Flynn Gray, and Wexford actress Sadhbh McMullin.

Also premiering is The Quiet Ocean, which will feature as part of Screen Ireland's Focus Shorts programme. Produced by Fiona Kinsella for Tile Media, directed by Katie McNeice and written by Barry Smyth, the short film was shot at the stunning Ballytrent House in Co. Wexford.

Set in the year 2063, the film imagines a world devastated by climate collapse and conflict. At the mysterious Quiet Ocean Hotel, guests arrive to peacefully end their lives. However, when receptionist Kansas meets a woman named Maria, an unexpected connection begins to form, raising questions of hope, love and humanity in a seemingly hopeless world.

The film stars Jennifer Zamparelli, Juliette Crosbie and Geraldine McAlinden.

Wexford producer Fiona Kinsella has established herself as one of Ireland's leading producers, with extensive experience across feature films, shorts and commercials. Earlier this year, she co-produced Everybody Digs Bill Evans, which won a Silver Bear for Best Director at the Berlin International Film Festival.

Her recent work also includes Restoration at Grayson Manor, Woken, and most recently West the Road, starring Imelda Staunton, Charlene McKenna, Genevieve O'Reilly, Philippa Dunne, and Wexford actress Charlie Murphy.

Alongside her production work, Fiona serves as a board member of Women in Film & Television Ireland (WFT Ireland) and sits on the Steering Committee for Screen Wexford, helping to support and grow the film industry across the county.

The world premieres of FEED and The Quiet Ocean mark another significant milestone for Wexford's flourishing screen sector, showcasing not only the county's stunning locations but also the wealth of local talent working behind the scenes.
