Wexford senator criticises government over health service
A Wexford Senator says he believes the government has done so much damage to the health service it will take a decade or more before it can be undone. Jim Walsh's comments come after the HSE came under fire over it's handling of the review of discretionary medical cards. Meanwhile reports some people whose children had Down Syndrome were receiving letters asking if they still had the condition were criticised. Senator Walsh says older people are afraid of getting sick and are cutting back on their medication.
