Wexford County Council Chairman Tony Dempsey has been responding to criticism over the lack of social housing in the county Councillor Dempsey says one of the major problems apart from lack of funding from Government is the level of beurocracy. Tony Dempsey says Wexford County Council has provided 120 new units in the past year and has regained 90 units from existing stock. However he says local authorities should be given more autonomy over the provision of social housing
