Wexford TD George Lawlor has once again raised concerns in the Dáil over the ongoing delays in the development of the long-promised SETU (South East Technological University) campus for Wexford. Speaking in the Dáil yesterday (Thursday October 16th) Deputy Lawlor expressed his frustration with the lack of progress and called for clear answers regarding the allocation of capital funding, the release of the master plan and a concrete timeline for construction. “The people of Wexford cannot continue to wait indefinitely for this vital project to move forward,” He is urging Minister for Further and Higher Education, James Lawless, to step in and ensure that the development is fast-tracked. Lawlor stressed that Wexford’s role as a key part of SETU should not be overlooked, and that the establishment of a state-of-the-art campus is essential for the region’s growth. “We’ve been waiting long enough,” he added. "It’s imperative that we see the master plan finalized and construction start without further delays." The campus, which has been promised for several years, is expected to significantly enhance the educational landscape in Wexford, providing a boost to both students and the local economy.
