Wexford young people take part in national Foróige leadership programme

Two young people from County Wexford have taken part in Foróige’s Leadership for Life Youth Conference, joining more than 300 participants from Ireland and the United States for a week focused on leadership, confidence and personal development.

The five-day residential event, held at Maynooth University, brought together young people to take part in workshops, group activities and discussions aimed at developing communication skills, resilience and the ability to make a positive impact in their communities.

Participants also heard from keynote speakers, including Ray Goggins and Jack Woolley, who shared their experiences of leadership, overcoming challenges and the importance of self-belief.

Foróige CEO Eric O’Brien said the conference highlights the potential of young people to become leaders and make a difference in their schools, communities and beyond.

He said the programme gives participants the skills, confidence and connections they need to continue developing as leaders long after the event comes to an end.
