There is to be a charge for the use of County Wexford's four recycling centres from next week.
From next Tuesday a charge of €2 will apply to all visits to Holmestown, New Ross, Enniscorthy and Gorey household waste facilities. €2 coins will be needed to raise the barrier to gain entry to the facilities. Wexford County Council is predicting a budget deficit at the centres of €380,000 this year and the charge is to go some way towards reducing this deficit.
