Wexford’s tourism industry continues to thrive, with the Riverside Park Hotel in Enniscorthy adding 21 new rooms, scheduled to open in December. This follows the success of the New Town Park Hotel, which has seen such strong demand that plans for an additional 42 bedrooms have been submitted.
Local hotel owners are confident that the county’s growing tourism market, bolstered by Wexford County Council’s efforts, will continue to expand, despite global economic challenges.
In addition to hotel expansions, Wexford is gearing up for a busy summer, with festivals like the Rock and Food Festival in Enniscorthy and the Maritime Festival in Wexford Town expected to draw large crowds. These events are a key part of Wexford’s strategy to increase footfall and provide locals and visitors alike with opportunities to enjoy the county’s unique tourism offerings.
