A 34-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to assisting in the movement of a body found in a Wexford quarry last year. Jane Corcoran, from Pairc na Dara, Clonard, Wexford, appeared before the Central Criminal Court on Friday, where she also admitted to lying to investigating Gardaí. Corcoran confessed to helping move the remains of Stephen Ring, whose body was discovered in a quarry outside Wexford Town in October 2024, nearly two weeks after he was reported missing. She was charged with obstructing the investigation by helping the individual responsible for the crime. In addition to assisting in the disposal of the body, Corcoran pleaded guilty to giving false information to Gardaí during their investigation. Following the plea, her defence barrister, Michael Hourigan SC, requested probation and education reports in preparation for her sentencing, which is scheduled for December 16, 2025. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ring's death.
