Woman in court over assisted suicide
Lawyers for a Tallaght woman charged with assisting the suicide of an MS sufferer have asked for more time before she enters a plea. On June 6th 2011, Bernadette Forde was found dead inside her apartment at Morehampton Mews in Donnybrook. Gail O'Rorke, from Kilclare Gardens, was due to be arraigned today but the case has been put back for four weeks. The 42-year-old is the first person in the state to be prosecuted for such an offence, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 14 years on conviction.
