The number of new coronavirus infections globally rose last week for the first time in seven weeks.
The World Health Organisation's director-general says it's disappointing but not surprising. Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus is urging countries not to relax measures to fight the spread of the disease, adding that public health measures, not vaccines, remain the "foundation of the response".
