The emergency department taskforce is to meet again at the end of January to discuss long term solutions to hospital overcrowding.
It’s after today’s meeting outlined short term measures to tackle the crisis, which saw a record number of people on trolleys last week.
These include the curtailment of non-urgent elective procedures and an increase in diagnostics.
