Approval For 24 Heritage Projects Across County Wexford

APPROVAL FOR 24 HERITAGE PROJECTS ACROSS COUNTY WEXFORD

161-thousand euro in funding has been allocated for the County by the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Jimmy Deenihan.

The projects will allow for a range of conservation works to take place at protected buildings and will generate and support employment in the conservation and construction industries.

The announcement is part of a national 5 million euro taxpayer investment in 618 historic structures with public funds to be matched by private funding.

The projects in County Wexford include; Catholic Church, Saint Michael’s Road, Gorey, St. Brigid’s Church, Ballykelly, Hyde Park, Inch, Gorey, Loftus Hall, Hook Head, Wilton Castle, Wilton, Enniscorthy, St. John the Evangelist Ardamine, Hillburn House, Hillburn, Taghmon, Yorkville, Ballynabarna, Enniscorthy, Ballyvergin House, Adamstown, Haresmead Farmhouse, Foulksmills, Robinstown House, Palace, Clonroche,Woodbrook House, Killanne, Enniscorthy, Thatched Cottage, Orristown, Killinick, An Siopa Brog, Castle Street, Enniscorthy, Ballysampson Farmhouse, Ballysampson, Killinick, The Deeps, Crossabeg, Corn Mill, Foulksmills, An Teach Dearg, Kilmore Quay, Thatched Cottage Ballygarran, Kilmuckridge, Gorey, Thatched Cottage, Coddstown Little, Killinick, Thatched Cottage, Cooney’s Crossroads, Ballybeg, Screen, Enniscorthy, Thatched Cottage, Cullenstown, Duncormick, Thatched House, Neamstown, Kilmore Quay, The Chalet (Gate Lodge) and Rathaspeck Manor, Rathaspeck.
