EGYPT TO END BAN ON IRISH BEEF

Egypt has opened it’s borders to Irish beef for the first time in 17 years.

It’ll be the first time Irish beef will be sold in Egypt since the BSE outbreak in the late 1990s.

Egypt was one of the biggest consumers of Irish beef at the time and it’s estimated the ban cost Irish farmers 200 million pounds.

Egypt is one of the largest markets in the Middle East and Africa with a population of 95 million.
