Karl Fitzpatrick elected President of The Rotary Club of Wexford

Having been unanimously elected, The Rotary Club of Wexford has a new President. Respected local businessman and broadcaster Karl Fitzpatrick is the 43rd President of the Club. The Rotary Club of Wexford is a service club which provides individuals with an opportunity to make a positive difference in their community.

Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Solving real problems takes real commitment and vision. For more than 110 years, Rotary’s people of action have used their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects. From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working to better our world, and we stay committed to the end.

Following his election, Mr. Fitzpatrick outlined his priorities for the year ahead, which included supporting the important work of local charities. He has already identified that recruiting sufficient numbers of volunteers is a persistent challenge facing local charities. As a solution, he is planning to organise County Wexford’s first Volunteer Expo, with the ambitious aim of recruiting 1,000 new volunteers for local charities.
