MINISTER KEHOE DEMANDS GREYHOUND RACING BOARD MEETING

Mister of State Paul Kehoe has demanded a meeting with the Greyhound Racing Board management on the way it runs its business.

The Wexford Minister says he has had a number of meetings with interested parties in how the boards business is carried out and he needs to put what he has heard to the boards top executives.

The Agriculture Minister Michael Creed is today bringing to cabinet an outline law which will ban dog doping and race fixing in the greyhound sector.

The proposed legislation is aimed at improving corporate governance and tightening regulation in greyhound racing.

The sector gets fifteen million euro in taxpayer funding annually.
