That's according to the Clinical Director of the hospital Dr. Colm Quigley who says despite them having their medical problems addressed they are still unfit to go home. He says that County Wexford does have a problem in transferring these people - who are generally elderly - to care homes because of a shortage of beds. Dr. Quigley also questioned the figure of 17-thousand euro which a report yesterday suggested was the amount of money it cost to keep these patients at Wexford General Hospital.
