A.i.b. apologises over continuing debit card problem
AIB has apologised to customers affected by a third day of technical problems with debit cards. AIB says issues are persisting today with customers using debit cards to try to take money out from the ATM machines of other banks. Technicans are investigating the problem - which may have been caused by a third party service provider. It's the third day of problems with debit cards. Yesterday, some customers who tried to withdraw the daily limit from non AIB banks, were also turned away from AIB machines. The bank says that problem is now fixed and it's apologising to customers for the inconvenience caused by these issues, which are being investigated as a priority. AIB says there are no problems using debit cards at point of sale in shops, and credit cards should be working as normal.
