A major drug bust took place yesterday evening as part of a joint operation led by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue's Customs Service. In a coordinated effort targeting serious organised crime, officers intercepted a truck and trailer unit at Rosslare Europort, which had arrived from the continent. A detailed search of the vehicle uncovered an elaborate lead-lined concealment hidden within the fuel tank. Inside the concealment, approximately 150 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of €10.5 million, was seized. A man in his 50s was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained under Organised Crime Legislation in the South East of Ireland. Investigations are ongoing.
