Almost 2,000 Help to Buy claims have been approved in County Wexford since the scheme was introduced.
The latest figures show 1,952 approved claims in Wexford, involving 3,529 applicants.
Of the Wexford total, 1,334 claims related to the purchase of newly-built homes, while another 618 were for self-build projects.
Nationally, 48,878 Help to Buy claims had been approved by the end of July, with almost 38,000 relating to newly-built homes and 10,895 supporting self-builds.
The scheme is aimed at first-time buyers purchasing or building a new home and provides a refund of Income Tax and DIRT paid in previous years to assist with a deposit.
Under the enhanced scheme, applicants can receive up to €30,000, subject to qualifying conditions. The amount available is the lesser of €30,000, 10% of the property's purchase price or approved valuation, or the amount of qualifying Income Tax and DIRT paid.
Tánaiste and Minister for Finance Simon Harris welcomed the latest figures, saying home ownership remains one of the biggest ambitions for individuals and families and that Help to Buy has helped thousands bridge the gap towards getting the keys to their own home.
He acknowledged that significant challenges remain in housing and said Government intends to continue increasing housing supply alongside supports for first-time buyers.
