Apple Debacle

APPLE DEBACLE The Independent Alliance are meeting this afternoon to decide their position on appealing the Apple tax ruling. They've so far refused to back Fine Gael's call, that an appeal of the European Commission demand for Ireland to collect 13 billion in back taxes, be lodged in the European Courts. Fine Gael is likely to agree to a recall of the Dáil to debate a strongly worded motion on tax in return for Independents agreeing to launch the appeal at tomorrow's cabinet meeting.
