Barntown teacher hoping to become rose of tralee
Parents and pupils of Barntown National school were rooting for their teacher Patrice McGillicuddy who was on stage at the Rose of Tralee last night. The Kerry native is the Abu Dhabi Rose where she is on a one year career break from teaching in Barntown. She is one of thirty two of this year's roses at the Intenational festival. Meanwhile an ESB networks' linesman from Limerick has been named the Rose of Tralee, Escort of the Year. Conor Walsh from Cappamore picked up the five-grand prize at the Dome last night.
