All meat factories in Ireland will be fully operational later this week.
Meat Industry Ireland confirms all 'illegal blockades' have been removed, after weeks of protests over prices. Beef processing is recommencing in some sites today, and the others will be open in the next few days. Most staff who were temporarily laid off will return to work, but MII says some personnel got jobs in other sectors in the meantime.
