A young boy from Enniscorthy is suing the owners of an XL Bully dog and Tuath Housing after suffering life-changing injuries from a dog attack in November 2022. The incident occurred in the Forgelands estate in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, when Alejandro Mizsan, then nine, was mauled while playing with friends. The dog's owners, Karen Miller and Niall Byrne, were jailed for two years in 2024 for the attack but were both released last year. The housing body Tuath is also being sued as the XL Bully was kept at a property without permission, violating their ban on restricted breeds. Alejandro, now 12, is seeking damages for his injuries, which include severe facial scarring, and is being represented by his father in the ongoing case
