Brooklyn continues award season success with 6 bafta nominations
Locals in Enniscorthy say they feel like they've arrived in Hollywood, as the film Brooklyn gets six nominations for the BAFTA's. The movie - based on the novel by local man Colm Toibín - was filmed on location in Enniscorthy, including hundreds of local extras. Brooklyn has received six BAFTA nominations, including outstanding British film and Saoirse Ronan got the nod for best leading actress. The British ceremony is seen as a good indicator of which actors and films are likely to do well in the Oscars.
