Browne calls for funding to made available for meitheal
A Wexford TD has called on cabinet ministers to re-instate funding for the Meitheal programme. Fianna Fáil's John Browne made the plea after it was announced there was no money for the Wexford project which helps students transition from primary to secondary school. The initiative costs around 40-thousand euro a year to run across 21 schools in the County. Deputy Browne says there is serious concern amoung students and teachers that the programme will be forced to come to an end.
