Children's minister to appear before seanad over child system failings

The Children's Minister is being brought before the Seanad later to account for failings in our child protection system.

A new Garda report this week claimed at-risk children are often returned to dangerous homes because there's no where for them to go. The audit looked at section 12 of the Child Care Act where children are removed from their families by the Gardaí. Head of the ISPCC Caroline O'Sullivan says we're completely disregarding their rights.
