Co. wexford anti-pylon protestor says advantages of undergrounding not looked at
A campaigner against the erection of pylons from Cork to Kildare through Wexford says the advantages of running the new power line underground is not being looked at. Lucy Gahan made the comments after Eirgird announced an alternative route for the Grid West project yesterday which would see the high capacity power cable go underground. An independent report into the Grid Link project which will affect County Wexford is expected to be published this summer. Lucy Gahan says she doesn't believe the underground option will go ahead. She says the Government have re-iterated the fact that the option could cost a multiple of the pylons but she says all of the facts are not being outlined to the public.
