Co. wexford investors affected by closure of setanta insurance
A number of County Wexford investors have seen their money wiped out in the collapse of Setanta Insurance. According to a report in today's EchoNewspaper eight in all have lost substantial amounts. Figures obtained by the Echo from the Maltese Registry of companies where Setana Insurance was registered shows eight county Wexford Investors had a shareholding in the company. The value of that shareholding amounted to almost ten per cent of the group. Setanta Insurance went into liquidation last Wednesday leaving thousands without insurance cover here. The Wexford Investors in the company has individual investments in the company of between 22 and 227-thousand euro. The eight all from the Enniscorthy area include; John and Margaret Flood from Rathnure, Concepta and the Late Jimmy Doyle from Tomnalossett, Myles Roban from Ballindaggin, David Garahy, James Byrne and John Burke O'Leary all from Enniscorthy.
