Concerns are being raised after the dissappearance of a spate of historic plaques and street signs from around Wexford in the past year. Local heritage groups are now calling on the community to help track what has been lost, asking anyone with information, photos, or knowledge of missing signs to come forward. Officials stress the importance of preserving these historic markers, which reflect Wexford’s rich history and heritage. Locals say some of the missing signs include: Laneway to Talbot beside army barracks has bronze plaque missing, Authorities say the removals are not being carried out by the council however Speaking on MM earlier Pat Hackett from Wexford Historical Society says he hopes this is the case.
