Daffodil day underway but not all of wexford is participating
Today is Daffodil Day but organisers of the cancer charity collection in parts of Wexford are not participating. This is in protest over the high salaries being paid to senior executvies in the Irish Cancer Society. When the salaries were made public a few months ago some of the Wexford organisers of Daffodil Day opted out after 19 years of collecting. However the Irish Cancer Society says the disease is now at epidemic proportions. Today they are hoping to raise 4 million euro for vital research.
