Pay increases are expected to be announced for members of the defence forces today.
Minister of State at the Department of Defence Paul Kehoe is expected to give a pay rise of up to six thousand euro to those at the top of the scale with relative increases throughout all levels. This follows intense lobbying between PDFORRA who represent members of the forces and the Department of Defence. The increases will be backdated to July 2016 and come under the terms of the Landsdowne Road agreement.
