Wexford is set to benefit from a new €7 million European Innovation Partnership project aimed at enhancing habitats for biodiversity along coastal arable farmland. The project, called The Arable Coast Environment, will span from South Cork to Wexford and is led by SECAD. The funding will cover both administrative costs and payments to participating farmers. Minister for Nature, Christopher O’Sullivan, commended the collaborative efforts of farmers and local communities in Cork, Waterford and Wexford to protect iconic bird species like the skylard and Hen Harrier through sustainable farming practices
