Eu funding for fisheries sector welcomed
More resurces need to be put into controlling foreign boats fishing in Irish waters which take away from the profits of County Wexford's and Ireland's fishermen. That's according to Kathleen Ní Aodha - the CEO of the Irish South and East Fish Producers Organisation - who has welcomed EU funding worth 148 million for the fisheries and seafood sector here. But she says some of this needs to be put into the science around fish stocks in order to encourage the union to look agian at quotas for Irish fishermen.
