Money from the European Investment Bank has helped in the construction of new homes in County Wexford.
Housing Minister Simon Coveney said the money which was matched by funds from the states Housing Finance Agency was used for retrofitting old houses as well as constructing new ones. The money was used to help the seriously depleted social housing sector. A further fourteen hundred social housing homes are to be built around the country using a new two hundred million loan from the European Investment Bank over the coming year.
